Current gameplay evidence shows Gems as the currency used by the Classes system. A September 2 guide with screenshots documents the Classes booth and reports a 40-Gem cost for one random class spin.

That makes Gems a progression currency rather than the core search objective itself. The official Roblox description still centers the game on searching through Hay, finding the hidden Needle, and beating your best time.

What free Gem sources are currently reported?

A September 2 gameplay guide documents two free-reward systems:

• a one-time reward panel tied to liking the game and joining the Garage Games community;
• an eight-day login reward track.

That snapshot reports +25 Gems for the group/like reward and a full eight-day schedule totaling 880 Gems. At that snapshot, a 40-Gem balance buys one attempt. This is useful for planning, but it is not an official API field. Major updates can change the price without changing the game title, chapter place IDs, or badge catalogue.

Is the 2x Gems gamepass official?

Yes. Roblox’s official Game Pass API currently lists 2x Gems [OP] with gamepass ID 1954597736.

The price is not stable: this site saw 39 Robux on September 6, another catalogue snapshot showed 59 on September 7, and a September 12 snapshot reported 79 Robux. The public description field is blank, so the name confirms the product’s Gem focus but not every detail of how doubling is applied across rewards.

That distinction matters. A “2x” product might apply broadly or only to certain Gem sources; the exact scope should be tested in game rather than inferred from the title alone.

5. Do not assume 2x Gems doubles every source until the live behavior is observed.

This is more reliable than a static calculator built on numbers that may have changed yesterday.

How do Gems connect to Farmhouse and Chapter 2?

Gems support progression outside the core Needle-search objective. The official Farmhouse and Basement place identities do not depend on Gem totals, but Classes and paid progression can change how a player approaches repeat runs.
